With an academic background in the sciences and a passion for business, the focus of my career has been learning and teaching how value is created in the biopharmaceutical industry. With a purpose to start at the end of the value chain – where company meets customer, I had a very successful first phase of my career in pharmaceutical sales and sales leadership. From this experience I developed a belief that if you don’t know how to convince one customer, then you can’t learn how to convince a marketplace of customers. From this ‘shop-floor’ of our industry, I pursued my passion through in-line marketing, new product planning, business development, portfolio strategy, business unit management, and executive and operational leadership. Along the way I’ve led the creation of global blockbuster products and portfolios, and transformed businesses into strategic, operational powerhouses. I’m proud that the impact I’ve delivered has tangible and real results in the marketplace – better care for patients and better financial returns for the industry.

Kimberlee Young is my wonderful wife and business partner. We have two amazing daughters, five 4-legged babies, and love the southern California lifestyle. I am an avid history buff and continuous learner. I believe learning from the past is critical to moving towards a better future. In my spare time (and when I want to be humbled), I play golf. Traveling and seeking new adventures as a family, we have been blessed to travel to some amazing places in this world and have met some exceptional people, some of whom we considered our extended family.
